It did what is says on the adverts. One tip please put something in the package to warn one that there is a poles inlay for slimmer poles. I didn't notice it and for the first day just had to avoid using the clipstick and my poles. It was just a bit of luck that the ski valet in my hotel picked up a piece of plastic which looked like it might fit the clipstick I think the inlay was actually in situ which explains why I could not get my polls into the clipstick (I thought it was because the plastic was new). It also fell out onto the floor. I would suggest therefore that the inlay in not placed into the clipstick poles clips but kept separately in the packaging.
I purchased this for my 26 yr old son who is an avid skier. I surprised him with it on a trip the two of us took at the end of February to Vail. This was my first trip ever to Colorado!
He was familiar with Clipstic, but didn't own one. He was wondering how I knew about the product since I don't ski!
I was disappointed that his poles would not fit into the slots, since it does say all poles will fit. My son did say his poles are older and a bit bigger in circumference than most.
He was excited that his skis were so much easier to carry with Clipstic! I do wish his poles would have fit however, to provide that added convenience.

Hey Sally, we're sure we can make the pole clip work for your sons ski poles too! If you slide the ski poles from the narrow part, down to the thicker part, the clip automatically grips the pole where the diameter is right.
The clip is also made to flex so you may also slide the poles more down so the clamps stretch out a bit, this makes clipping in and out a lot easier after 1-2 days in the clip. They mold to the size of the ski poles that way. Best regards, the CLIPSTIC team!

So happy with my Clipstic, I used it all season. It is convienent and works well. My Clipstic was a necessity in Saalbach-Hinterglem Austria where you will need to do a bit of walking in your ski boots; my Clipstic was a life saver. Tip: if you will be renting gear on vacation be sure to bring along the Clipstic size adjusters with you as you may get poles much thinner than yours.
Just had two weeks in Jasper, the Clipstic was invaluable. It holds your skis together with ease and solidly and then you just clip your poles in.

I can't believe I was the ONLY Clipstick user in the entire Swiss valley of Engelberg earlier this month! I was a blast comfortably carrying my skis "second hand free," while nobody else seemed to care. But I know there were looking! What are you waiting for? The Alps are your new frontier!
We began to ski with clipstick from the start. It made the process so much easier for us, especially to see how much struggle can be to get everything together. One of the best money I spent on ski gear, recommended for anyone in any experience level.
The core idea is great! However, in m very limited experience, it seems like the poles pop out to easily when they should have retained firmly tight in place.

Hi David! It helps to mount the clipstic a bit higher on the skis-in the middle of the tips and the top binding- , this way the poles sit nicely against the binding brakes, but the tapering of the skis doesn't push out the poles from the clip.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well Clipstic works. It does have to sit on the side/edges of the skis to hold your skis properly. Holds my XC skis and poles, making them easier to transport.

Hey Will, The clipstic is the wrong way around in this picture. The pole slots should be pointing the other way, so the wedge that is at the back of the clip gets inserted between the ski bases. This way the clip doesn't rotate and the poles don't swing away!

If you extend the center rib by about 10 mm, it might become more stable when using the wire band, because right now it moves and rotates a little.
But overall, this product is a great idea.
I was using clipstix during my recent skiing holiday in Zermatt, Switzerland. I found them useful once I knew how I was supposed to bind the skis and ski poles altogether. I even asked the Intersport I hired the ski equipments to have a look at your product!

We purchased two clipstic devices for myself and my daughter… we regularly use buses to get around a particular ski resort we tend to go to every year and I have to say the clipstics made our journeys far less stressful. No slipping skis, no juggling poles or poking people’s eyes out. Fantastic and an absolute game changer for us!!

Did find it difficult to clip poils in, and found the pole holders a bit too close to the skiis- handle grips tended to be too close to the skis, and since they pushed away from the skis, that in turned pushed the basket end across the bottom of the skis, which made it harder to clip the second pole in place.
A wider pole holder part would solve this problem.
Bought 4 for our family. Love them for the teenagers! I have been out skiing 6 times and they have been great! Easily on and off, which is awesome when out in the cold with gloves on!
I modified this to fit on a single ski in reverse, to prevent my metal edges from cutting the straps. This is so I can use it to help strap my skis on a pack in backcountry.
I also use ti to hold my skiis and poles. It's especially nice when carrying in my car - no more rattling poles!
