Why I spent 24 months perfecting one small clip.
By Ruben Boelhouwers, founder of CLIPSTIC
People sometimes tell me it's just a piece of plastic. I understand why. It's small, it's simple, and it looks like it should be cheap.
But it took me two years of prototyping to make something this simple actually work. Here's what went into it.

From one ski trip too many to 300,000+ happy skiers.
Every great product starts with a problem that refuses to go away. For me, that was countless ski racing trips with a bulk of gear to manage. Stop, drop the gear, open a door, move a few metres, and repeat. Everyone seemed to accept it. I didn't.
The idea
After countless ski racing trainings, I built the first prototype at home on a 3D printer.
24 months of prototyping
Two years of refining at home, then testing on the mountain with experts. I'd spent my career developing superyacht products, specialised in precision manufacturing. That precision went into one small clip.
